Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effection of resveratrol(RES) on the CCl4-induced liver fibrosis in rat model by ultrasound quantitative index. Methods: Twenty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group, RES group, model group, and RES intervention group. The proximal and distal diameter, blood flow velocity of portal vein and liver tissue Young’s modulus were detected by ultrasonography. The degree of hepatic fibrosis was determined under light microscope after HE stained. Results: ①After RES intervention, the symptoms of rats were mild with the weight increase, and the liver fibrosis was improved. ②In model and RES intervention group, the portal vein proximal and distal diameter, Young’s modulus of liver tissue were increased compared with control and RES group(P<0.05); The portal vein blood flow velocity was increased, but the differences among the groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05). The changes of the portal vein diameter and Young’s modulus were decreased after RES intervention. There were no significant differences between the control and RES group(P>0.05). Conclusion: ①RES can effectively improve the pathological changes of CCl4-induced liver fibrosis. ②Portal vein diameter and Young’s modulus can effectively evaluate the effect of RES on CCl4-induced liver fibrosis in rat.
