Imaging analysis and comparison of pathological tissue in spinal tuberculosis

Abstract  Objective: To explore the MRI, CT, X-ray imaging features of different kinds of pathological tissue in spinal tuberculosis. Materials and Methods: To analyse and compare the pathological tissue of spinal tuberculosis images of MRI, CT, X-ray of which 17 cases were proven by surgery and 12 cases by clinic. Results: There are totally 23 cases with cold abscesses, 26 cases with intervertebral discs destruction, 23 cases with bone sequestration, 10 cases with kyphosis, 15 cases with osteitis, 10 cases with tuberculous granuloma, 9 cases with caseous necrosis which were not liquefied on MRI, CT and X-ray imaging. Conclusion: The types of pathological tissue of spinal tuberculosis can be displayed and discriminated distinctly by MRI, CT and X-ray imaging.
