Abstract Objective: Preparation of fibrin glue-based contrast agent for vertebral venography, and make a preliminary study of its properties. Methods: Use of fibrinogen according to the volume ratio of 1∶1, dissolved in fibrinolysis inhibitor, thrombin according to the volume ratio of 1∶1, dissolved in calcium chloride solution after the combination of different proportions of the contrast agent, grouped using the X-ray imaging test approach and viscosity test to experimental different groups, in order to get the best volume ratio. Results: Ⅷ group with ensure a high ratio of viscosity have a better imaging performance, which can be more useful to help determine bone cement leakage. Conclusion: Fibrin glue-based imaging contrast agents was obtained through the best ratio of fibrin glue and the water-soluble iodine contrast agents, while maintaining its nature, it has greatly increased the viscosity. Which offers a new option for vertebral angiography.
