| Value of 3D-excretory contrast-enhanced MRU in the diagnosis of urologic diseases |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinical value of 3D-excretory contrast-enhanced MRU(3D-ceMRU) in the diagnosis of urologic diseases. Methods: Forty-five patients with urologic diseases had MRI and MRU. 3D-ceMRU was performed by 3D SPGR, and 3D reconstruction MIP from source images were acquired. Results: 3D-ceMRU demonstrated the localization of urologic diseases was 100% in all cases, and in congenital abnormalies, urinary lithiasis, and stenotic urinary tract diseases if combined with plain and contrast-enhanced MRI. 3D-ceMRU could satisfactorily display the location, shape, size and quantity of diseases, and could roughly evaluate renal function and the degree of hydronephrosis. Conclusion: 3D-ceMRU is a safe and noninvasive technique. This technique has a high accuracy in the diagnosis of many urologic diseases and it is one of the best way for showing these diseases.
