| A study on clinical application of PET-CT in China based on bibliometrics |

Abstract Objective: The aim of this study was to promote the clinical application of PET-CT and scientific research, and to realize the clinical application of PET-CT in China. Methods: By using the method of bibliometric, 2 528 articles were retrieved by the key words of “PET-CT” or the title of “PET-CT” in CNKI since CNKI was built to February 2013. We carried out statistical analysis based on literature database. Results: The numbers of PET-CT clinical application article and scientific research were increasing year by year, the number of articles in PET-CT of tumor was the largest(1 651 articles, 65.4%), the number of articles in PET-CT of lung cancer and gynecological tumor, head and neck neoplasms was the top three. Conclusions: The increase of the number of PET-CT articles is connected with the increase of the number of medical equipment and the regional distribution, PET-CT in clinical application and research in our country presents imbalance, we suggest that PET-CT in clinical application should be developed.
