Abstract Objective: To investigate the diagnostic efficacy for breast lesions by ultrasound, mammography and enhanced-MR examinations. Methods: We collected 378 breast lesions, all had breast ultrasound, mammography and breast enhanced-MR examinations before surgical excision. The accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of each modality were compared. Results: The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of breast ultrasound, mammography and enhanced-MR examinations was 92.81%, 89.52%, 90.83% and 66.67%, 58.20%, 60.98% and 98.55%, 78.50%, 86.43% respectively. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of breast ultrasound and enhanced-MR were higher than mammography. Conclusion: Enhanced-MR had the highest sensitivity, ultrasound had the highest specificity. They both had advantages to diagnose malignant or benign lesions. Also mammography was useful to predict malignant lesions.
