Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the value of MR diffusion weighted imaging and different sequences combinations the qualitative diagnosis of breast benign and malignant lesions. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 71 cases(46 benign cases with 46 lesions, 29 malignant cases with 32 lesions) MRI data of patients with breast benign and malignant lesions diagnosed by surgery and pathology. Base on the pathological diagnosis as the gold standard, we use the four ways of diagnostic modality(T1WI+DWI, T2WI+DWI, DCE, DCE+DWI) to compare the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of diagnosis for breast benign and malignant lesions. Results: The diagnose sensitivity of the T1WI+DWI, T2WI+DWI, DCE and DCE+DWI were 81.3%, 90.6%, 93.7%, 96.8%, and their specificity were 73.9%, 91.3%, 89.1%, 93.5% and their accuracy were 76.9%, 91%, 91%, 94.9%. Conclusion: The diagnosis of breast benign and malignant breast lesions in DCE combined DWI group has a higher sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of diagnosis. So that has a clinical value, is the best combinations diagnostic sequences. Non-enhancement combinations sequences has a certain advantages in the diagnosis, it could be used as a MRI technology to screening breast disease.
