Abstract Objective: To assess systolic and diastolic function of right ventricle in patients with pulmonary hypertension by Doppler tissue imaging(DTI) technique. Methods: The patients with pulmonary hypertension were divided into three groups. The motion of tricuspid annular of patients were analyzed by DTI and the velocity of anterior, septal and posterior of tricuspid annular, systolic velocity(Sa), early diastolic velocity(Ea), late diastolic velocity(Aa), were measured. Meanwhile, these parameters were compared with control group. Results: Compared with control group, Sa of anterior and septal tricuspid annular were decreased in groupⅡ, Ⅲ(P<0.05). In group Ⅲ, Sa of anterior tricuspid annular was worse than groupⅠ(P<0.05). Sa of posterior tricuspid annular, Ea of anterior tricuspid annular were lower than those of control group(P<0.05). Meanwhile, Ea of septal tricuspid annular were lower than those of normal group and groupⅠ(P<0.05). In group Ⅲ, Aa and Ea/Aa of septal and posterior tricuspid annular were lower than those of normal group(P<0.05). In groupⅡ and Ⅲ, Ea/Aa of anterior tricuspid annular were lower than those of control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Pulmonary hypertension lead to moderate or severe dysfunction of right ventricle, systolic dysfunction was involved earlier than those of diastolic function.
