Abstract Objective: To assess the feasibility and accuracy of CT perfusion of normal human kidneys and compare the perfusion parameters acquired with different perfusion softwares. Methods: Twenty-four healthy subjects without renal problems underwent CT perfusion on a 64-slice CT of Siemens. The raw data was calculated with software of Siemens, Philips and GE respectively and the perfusion characteristic parameters acquired were compared. The perfusion parameters of bilateral kidneys were also compared. Results: There was no significant difference in the same parameter between bilateral kidneys. There was also no difference in aortic peak aortic enhancement(PAE) and time to peak(TTP), renal peak enhancement(PE) and TTP among different softwares. Obvious difference existed in renal blood flow(BF) and blood volume(BV) among different softwares. Conclusion: CT perfusion is a feasible and accurate technique to assess renal blood perfusion. Perfusion parameters acquired with different softwares have concordance to some extent.
