Abstract Objectives: To investigate the post-processing of hepatic MRS findings in vivo. Materials and Methods: A total of 58 single-voxel proton spectra of the liver were acquired on 3.0T scanner using the eight-channel phased array abdomen coil. Consecutive stacks of breathhold spectra were acquired using the PRESS technique with a short echo time of 30 ms and a repetition time of 1 500 ms. The spectra was processed with the software package “SAGE”. Areas and heights for metabolites resonances were obtained. Results: The method Spectrum of raw MRS data showed more metabolites resonances peaks than the method Probe. The group using the parameter 5 Hz had better SNR than that using the parameter 1.25 Hz. The lipid peak height was wider. Conclusions: The parameters 5 Hz is better in post-prosessing of hepatic proton MRS at 3.0T.
