Abstract Objective: To compare the mean elasticity value, as measured by shear-wave elastography(SWE), with clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features of invasive lobular breast carcinoma. Methods: SWE was performed in 52 cases of breast invasive lobular carcinoma before operation. Mean elasticity values in kPa were measured for each lesion. The clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features were analyzed and correlated with Emean. Results: The result of one-way analysis variance showed that the tumor size, histological grade, axillar lymph node state, clinical tumor stage and the expression of ER and C-erbB-2 were related to the mean elasticity value of invasive lobular breast carcinoma. The result of multivative regression showed that the tumor size, histological grade and clinical tumor stage were independently correlated with the mean elasticity value. Conclusion: The clinicopathological feature of invasive lobular breast carcinoma is significantly associated with the mean elasticity. Biological characteristics of breast cancer influence the change of elasticity value.
