| Classification diagnosis of lumbosacral plexus injuries with 3T MRI |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the lumbosacral plexus anatomical structure and lumbosacral plexus injuries classification at MRI. Materials and Methods: Twenty-one patients with lumbosacral plexus injuries underwent normal and 3D-STIR MR scan. All of the images were analyzed. Results: Twenty-one patients with lumbosacral plexus injuries underwent 3D-STIR MR scan. Not only the formation, direction, continuity, shape, signal of lumbosacral plexus but also the sign of injuries could be showed clearly, including 4 cases of nerve root rupture, 11 cases of nerve plexus rupture and 6 cases of nerve trunk rupture. Conclusion: The anatomical structure of lumbosacral plexus can be showed clearly by 3D-STIR. It is also an important method for diagnosis of lumbosacral plexus injuries.
