Abstract Objective: To compare the diagnostic value of sonohysterography(SHG) and transvaginal sonography(TVS) in patients with uterine endometrial polyp. Methods: Forty-seven patients suspected of having endometrial diseases were examined by TVS and SHG. Hysteroscopy was performed in all patients after ultrasound examination. ROC analysis was made with software of ROC for windows 0.90. Result: ROC analysis indicated that there was significant difference(P<0.01) between TVS and SHG groups with area under the ROC curve=0.620 on TVS and area under the ROC curve=0.978 on SHG. Conclusion: SHG was obviously superior to TVS in diagnosing endometrial polyp of uterus.
