Abstract Objective: To assess the ability of perfusion CT in showing the foci of stage ⅠA cervical cancer and to analyze the characteristics of the CT perfusion parameters and the contribution of clinical application. Material and Methods: CT perfusion scans were performed in 20 patients who were clinically diagnosed as cervical cancer of stage ⅠA by biopsy. Then all patients were confirmed as cervical cancer of stage ⅠA by cervical cone cutting operation and pathology. Fourteen cases of cervical cancer patients with normal cervical tissues were used as control. The maps of perfusion parameters were observed and hemodynamic parameters including blood flow(BF), blood volume(BV), mean transit time(MTT) and permeability surface(PS) were calculated and statistically analyzed. Results: There was statistically significant difference in BV and PS between cervical cancer of stage ⅠA and normal cervical tissue(P<0.05). The BV and PS of stage ⅠA cervical cancer were higher than those of normal cervical tissue. There was no statistical difference in BF and MTT between stage ⅠA cervical cancer and normal cervical tissue(P>0.05). Conclusion: CT perfusion maps can intuitively show the foci of stage ⅠA cervical cancer which helps the localization diagnosis. CT perfusion parameters can be used to analyze the blood supply of cervical cancer.
