Abstract Objective: To compare the accurate rate of 99mTc-MIBI scintigraphy and molybdenum mammography of the breast and find a more correct method in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods: One hundred and thirty-five female patients with breast lesion were enrolled in the study. All patients received molybdenum mammography and 99mTc-MIBI scintigraphy examinations. Compared the result of the two methods with pathologic result after operation. Results: Compared with pathologic results, the sensitivity, specificity and accurate rate of 99mTc-MIBI scintigraphy and molybdenum target mammography are 93.3%, 90.3%, 92.6% and 83.7%, 93.5%, 85.9%. Conclusions: There was no significant difference between 99mTc-MIBI scintigraphy and molybdenum mammography, but combination application of the two methods can enhance the diagnostic accurate rate.
