Abstract:Objective: To explore the diagnostic value of diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) and magnetic resonance dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging(DCE-MRI) in the staging of prostate cancer. Materials and Methods: DWI and DCE-MRI data of 48 cases of pathologically proved prostate cancer was retrospectively analyzed, and correlated with pathology and tumor staging. Results: Of the 48 cases, DWI and DCE-MRI diagnosed 11 cases of stage ≤B, 23 cases of stage C and 14 cases of stage D. The accuracy of tumor staging was 85.4%. The mean apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) values of the tumor regions were (0.85±0.15)×10-3 mm2/s, (0.73±0.13)×10-3 mm2/s and (0.64±0.09)×10-3 mm2/s, respectively. There was statistical significance among the three stages(F=8.06, P<0.05). Spearman correlation analysis showed the ADC values in cancerous regions were negatively correlated with tumor staging(r=-0.53, P<0.01). Conclusions: The accuracy of ADC and DCE-MRI is high in staging of prostate cancer, and ADC combined with DCE-MRI might be useful to the staging of prostate cancer.
