Abstract:Objective: In this study, to explore the relationship between the renal blood flow peak systolic velocity(PSV), end diastolic velocity(EDV), detected by CDFI, and the acute kidney injury(AKI) caused by cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB). Methods: Fourteen cases with heart disease were accepted. The main renal artery and renal segmental artery PSV, EDV of all cases were monitored by CDFI at preoperative and postoperative 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h, 16 h, 24 h. The renal blood urea nitrogen(Urea), uric acid(UA), creatinine(Crea), were detected at the same time. All data were performed for statistical analysis. Results: The main renal artery and renal segmental artery PSV was higher at 1 h postoperative time point than that at the preoperative and 4 h, 16 h, 24 h postoperative time points. The renal aorta EDV was higher at the postoperative 2 h than that at the preoperative and postoperative 4 h, 8 h, 16 h, 24 h. The renal segmental artery EDV was lower at the postoperative 4 h than that at postoperative 1 h. The renal blood flow EDV was negatively correlated with the renal function parameters: Urea, UA, Crea. Conclusion: The main renal artery, renal segmental artery EDV and the Urea, UA, Crea had negative correlation after CPB. The EDV may be used as an evaluation index to assess AKI after CPB.
