Abstract:Objective: To construct the animal model of rabbit spinal tuberculosis, and to discuss applications of multiple b values in diffusion-weighted imaging of spinal vertebra tuberculosis. Methods: Firstly, animal models of spinal tuberculosis were built successfully by surgery and divided into two groups. Then they were examined with imaging and pathology at 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks respectively. Results: ①There was statistical difference in lesion group of ADC values between the lesion group and the normal group(P<0.05); ②With the increase of b value, ADC values decrease gradually. At one time point, there was no statistical difference between ADClow values and ADChigh values(P>0.05), but there was statistical difference among ADC3b values, ADC7b values and ADCperf values(P<0.05); ③At 4 weeks, ADC3b values, ADC7b values and ADCperf values were statistically different from those at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks(P<0.05). Conclusion: MRI can provide early diagnosis of spinal tuberculosis with some information, and DWI in MRI scanning is more sensitive to early diagnosis of spinal tuberculosis. Pathology of rabbit model with spinal tuberculosis is similar to that of human.
