Abstract:Objective: To assess the anatomy of right hepatic vein and accessory right inferior hepatic vein with 128-MSCT angiography. Methods: 432 patients underwent 128-MSCT abdominal CT scan. All data were reconstructed to observe the anatomic details of the hepatic veins. Results: According to Nakamura’s classification of hepatic veins, 274 patients were classified as type Ⅰ(63.43%), 108 patients were classified as type Ⅱ(25%), and 50 patients were classified as type Ⅲ(11.57%). The initial diameter of right hepatic vein was (10.68±3.18) mm, and the length of trunk was (10±2.37) cm. 114 accessory right inferior hepatic vein were found in 96 patients. The initial diameter of the accessory right inferior hepatic vein was (4.43±1.48) mm, and the length of trunk was(6.34±2.22) cm. Two accessory right inferior hepatic veins were found in 18 patients. The distance between the openings of the right hepatic vein and the accessory right inferior vein into the inferior vena cava was (4.74±1.28) cm. Conclusion: 128-MSCT can offer detailed anatomy of the right hepatic vein and the accessory right inferior vein before operation and can supply accurate information for hepatic surgery.
