Abstract:Objective: To investigate the value of MRI features in preoperative diagnosis of malignant meningioma. Methods: MRI findings in 23 patients with malignant meningioma were analyzed retrospectively, and 34 cases of benign meningiomas in the same period were randomly selected as control. Results: Lobulation, cystic necrosis, tumor-brain interface, tumor-brain interface rim, signal intensity in T1WI, signal inhomogeneity, inhomogeneous contrast enhancement, the degree of contrast enhancement and dural tail sign are related to the gradings of meningioma. Conclusion: Malignant meningiomas do have characteristic MRI features, to evaluate some MRI features has important significance in qualitative diagnosing malignant meningioma before operation.
